Big Think is an online forum featuring in-depth interviews with global thought leaders. Founded in 2007 and relaunched last month, Big Think has a commitment to fostering intellectual debate and discussion over a robust and growing social network. Our foundation is video interviews–we currently have over 450 with such influentials as Paul Krugman, David Remnick, George Soros, Richard Branson, Arianna Huffington, and Larry Summers. We’ve seen strong accolades from major news outlets and our niche in online media remains strong in what are tumultuous times for many venues.
I’m writing to you because Big Think maintains a lively blog that explores and comments on outside content though a Big Think lens, one that promotes opportunity, innovation, leadership and the importance of a global society. We are looking for writers to contribute to the blog, and are especially interested to include students of yours who display a signature voice and a well-defined area of expertise, as contributing writers. Though unpaid, blogging for Big Think is an excellent opportunity for students to build an online presence, boost their web journalism skills and reach a wide audience of viewers who care about big ideas.
