Forbes is a daily business and economics magazine and news site with a scope that reaches many parts of the world and an international readership. Our approach to the movements and trends of business and world markets is smart, critical and unique in the way that Forbes has made itself to be over the past century.
Interns will be receiving school credit and may be current undergraduate or graduate students, or recent graduates of no more than a year.
Candidates will be considered for positions that are fast-paced and research heavy to support the ambitious multi-layered features that advance our reporting. Good writing and reporting skills are necessary. Interns leave with experience of working in a daily newsroom and several bylined articles.
Past interns have worked on stories and lists such as the technology of wind energy; the world’s least and most patriotic countries, the politics of the G8 Summit, and the Forbes list of top-producing American colleges.
We are interested in someone who can work approximately 20 hours a week. This is a for-credit internship program and is for the full semester.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a talented writing student who is an enthusiastic self-starter with good communication and writing skills. Must be organized and able to work within deadlines.
Approximate Start Date is September 14, 2009. Internships will last the duration of the fall semester. Time commitment is approximately 15-20 hours per week.
